Job Title: ICT Infrastructure Project Manager

Job Summary:

The ICT Infrastructure Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the purpose and status of the project, ensuring all project goals and time frames are met. This role will support the agency by overseeing and ensuring the high-quality and consistent delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver projects that may have an agency-wide impact, develop, implement, and evaluate project plans and schedules in accordance with the agency's project management framework.
  • Collaborate with staff in the immediate work area and with internal and external stakeholders to oversee project design, governance arrangements, and operational integration.
  • Ensure project deliverables and milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Lead and manage staff, oversee the management of performance, attendance, and health and well-being, develop staff capability through coaching and succession planning.
  • Provide high-level strategic advice and feedback to stakeholders and the agency's executive.
  • Research, review, and evaluate projects within a section or specialist area, report on project objectives and outputs for presentation to the executive, and oversee ongoing project reporting.
  • Manage and monitor financial budgets and oversee the management of contracts, procurement, resources, and expenditure.
  • Identify, assess, manage, escalate, report, and monitor project risks, issues, and benefits.
  • Manage and lead change, actively contribute to and implement the agency's strategic direction, engage, negotiate, and manage key strategic stakeholder relationships to deliver projects and respond to changes in needs and expectations.
  • Represent and negotiate on behalf of the agency to advance the agency's interests at external, cross-agency, inter-jurisdictional, and other forums, exercise delegations appropriately.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in managing critical ICT Infrastructure projects with multiple stakeholders involved from Infrastructure and Business aspects.
  • Must have experience in working with large organisations (preferably in government departments).
  • An ability to work under pressure against short timescales.
  • Proven track record in leading technical teams and managing cross-disciplinary technical programs, from project definition to product delivery/demonstration.
  • Experience tracking a complex ICT project and providing support to clear blocking issues.
  • Familiarity with AGILE methodology and project tracking.
