Job Overview

This leadership role is focused on overseeing a team of technical specialists within the data center, ensuring seamless customer service delivery and operational efficiency.

The successful candidate will manage a small team, lead day-to-day operations, coordinate customer installations and service requests, drive continuous improvement, and support training and development across multiple sites.

The position involves direct management of 4 staff, with 3 based at SY6 in Silverwater, and providing remote support for critical facilities engineers in Canberra and Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of Customer Operations Technicians to ensure high-quality service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Resource Allocation: Schedule and allocate resources to meet customer SLAs and operational targets, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and customer focus.
  • Communication: Liaise with internal teams, including Engineering, Sales, and Global Support, to ensure seamless service delivery and communication.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing operations role, preferably in a data center or technical environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, and familiarity with IT infrastructure, cabling, and data center operations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment and make informed decisions that impact the business.
