Job Opportunity: Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of day-to-day operations of the Quality and Food Safety System (QMS) in order to comply with legislative requirements.

Critical Skills and Experience Required:

  • Extensive previous experience in food processing and distribution is essential.
  • A strong understanding of food science or relevant industry experience and training (including HACCP, SQF and GMP) is required.
  • Excellent leadership skills, including conflict resolution and problem-solving, are necessary.
  • A current state driver's license is a must.
  • Excellent people and communication skills, both written and oral, are required.
  • The ability to make quick and correct decisions on the job and long-term decisions is crucial.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Excellent time management skills are necessary to achieve departmental targets.
  • Experience in or knowledge of further processing and how it can impact on legal requirements in terms of food safety and quality risks is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and maintain the QMS.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in food processing and distribution.
  • A food science or related agricultural science background is preferred.
  • Relevant industry experience and training (including HACCP, SQF and GMP).
