Nurse Practitioner Oncology Outpatients Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Day Cancer Centre and Oncology Fast Track Clinic. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive, safe, and evidence-based care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure clinical practice and delivery of care is consistent with RCH and Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board standards.
- Provide comprehensive, safe, and effective care to both planned and unplanned presentations.
- Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance nursing practice and improve patient outcomes.
- Support oncology outpatients across Ambulatory Services and optimize patient access to timely treatment and facilitate patient flow.
- Lead the APN team for the OFTC and provide escalation support for the teams on Wallaby Ward (HITH).
- Current Registration and endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) administered through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Current Paediatric Care Prescribing Notation under the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Act, Department of Health, Victoria.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, as evidenced in a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) record/Professional Practice Portfolio (PPP).
- Extensive clinical knowledge and experience in the clinical care of children and adolescents with cancer, and their families.
- Current chemotherapy administration competency.
