Experienced Audio Transcription Specialist

Overview:

We are a dynamic organization seeking a skilled and detail-oriented audio transcription specialist to join our team. As an experienced transcriptionist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality transcripts to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe recorded audio/video interviews into accurate documents
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our style guides and formatting requirements
  • Meet tight deadlines and manage your time effectively
  • Work independently and maintain confidentiality
  • Use internet research skills to verify names, addresses, and key terms

Requirements:

  • A reliable home-based setup with good equipment and current ABN (for invoicing purposes)
  • Previous experience in audio transcription or typing (60wpm+ accuracy)
  • Strong English grammar, punctuation, spelling, and syntax skills
  • Ability to understand and contextualize poor audio quality, varied accents, and multiple speakers
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and software installation
  • Password-protected computer with up-to-date antivirus software and firewall
  • Established record of working with confidentiality obligations and understanding of the Privacy Act 1988
