We are seeking an experienced Environmental Operations Manager to join our team in the Regulatory Operations division. This is a key role that will oversee the management of licensed premises and investigation of environmental incidents and complaints.
- This includes coordinating the delivery of EPA's support services to various flood recovery programs across the Northern Rivers, working closely with Councils, other State Agencies, contractors and the community.
- You will be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic projects, proactive programs and improving compliance with contemporary environmental standards.
About You:
- Developed and maintained strategic projects, proactive programs and improved compliance with contemporary environmental standards.
- Managed the involvement of staff in assessing breaches of legislation, licence conditions, and other reports of pollution or environmental harm and determine the most appropriate regulatory response to breaches in accordance with the EPA compliance policy.
- Undertake issues management for significant or controversial issues within the geographical or functional area.
- Consult and liaise on a regular basis with management and staff within the Region/Branch to seek expert advice to assist in the regulatory work and other EPA and specialist Branches to discuss the implementation of strategies, audits and campaigns.
