Job Description:

We are seeking an Environmental Specialist to join our team in the Incident Management Unit. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering the EPA's incident response function and undertaking diverse day-to-day tasks.

About the Role:

  • Deliver the EPA's incident response function
  • Undertake diverse day-to-day tasks relating to incident management
  • Coordinate and deliver incident response training
  • Maintain the EPA's Incident Management System
  • Work within the Guardian Incident Management on-line platform
  • Develop guidelines and advice to assist Operations and the wider EPA response to incidents and emergencies

Requirements:

  • Outcomes focused and passionate advocate for the environment
  • Prepared to work on regular occasions outside of normal hours on a rotating shift
  • Trained or willing to undertake training in the Australasian Interagency Incident Management System (AIIMS)
  • Demonstrated high degree of competency using online systems and technology
  • Thorough understanding of the EPA's role in protecting the environment
