Senior Power Systems Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Power Systems Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to make a significant contribution to the delivery of high-quality electrical engineering services.

About the Role

This permanent, full-time position is based in Perth and offers a challenging and rewarding career path for a seasoned professional with experience in power systems engineering.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A 'A Grade' Electrical Workers License or Engineering Degree/Diploma in Power Systems recognised by Engineers Australia;
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in HV/LV electrical engineering;
  • HV Switching Ticket preferred;
  • Experience with IEC61850 and GOOSE messaging through IED Scout viewed favourably.
Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Power Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical support and training to engineers;
  • Leading and supervising teams on commissioning/testing projects;
  • Preparing commissioning/testing documentation, protection test plans and detailed technical reports.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Knowledge of relevant Australian and International Standards;
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures;
  • Proven ability to meet project quality, schedule and budget requirements;
  • Ability to promote a high standard of safety, professionalism and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
