Civil Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled WHS Systems Manager to lead the development and implementation of our workplace health and safety management system.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and updating WHS policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with contractual specifications, environmental/WHS legislation and other relevant stakeholder requirements.
- Maintaining and improving our WHS Management System
- Initiating, coordinating and managing all safety-related tasks
- Issuing guidelines and directives as required
- Providing advice and technical support
- Ensuring all safety documentation is up-to-date
- Risk identification and assessments, implementing control measures and ensuring legislation and regulations are met
- Coordinating the development of WHS risk management strategies
- Carrying out health and safety audits, hazard and compliance audits and workplace inspections
- Developing, reviewing and continuously improving company safety policies, procedures and documents
- Delivering relevant information and training sessions for all company staff
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS or equivalent
- Civil experience in a similar role
- Expert understanding of WHS legislation and regulations
