Senior Property Claims Specialist

Your Role
As a senior member of our claims team, you'll be responsible for handling complex property and technical lines claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolution, and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and service providers. Your expertise will be invaluable in identifying and mitigating potential risks, and in developing and implementing effective claims handling strategies.
Your Responsibilities:
- Investigate and resolve complex property and technical lines claims, ensuring compliance with policy terms and conditions, relevant legislation, and Chubb's obligations under its AFSL.
- Develop and maintain accurate claim reserves, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, service providers, and internal stakeholders, promoting confidence and trust in Chubb's claims service.
- Effectively manage and control the use of outside vendors, and ensure timely and accurate documentation of all claim developments.
- Conduct thorough investigations of all aspects of reported claims, including potential fraud and subrogation issues.
- Seek technical assistance as needed, and maintain an active diary to ensure timely development and disposition of claims.
- Exercise good judgment in reaching final disposition of claims, and effectively communicate with all stakeholders throughout the claims process.
Your Skills & Experience:
- Tertiary qualification (Degree preferred) in a relevant field, such as insurance, risk management, or a related discipline.
- Relevant industry qualifications (ANZIIF) or studying towards.
- 5+ years' experience in handling complex property and technical lines claims, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving business growth.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to construct clear and concise claim reports and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Good negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with brokers, service providers, and internal stakeholders.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to construct claim reports and manage data effectively.
- Ability to manage self and time effectively, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
