Job Title: General Maintenance Professional

The ideal candidate will have experience in the maintenance of school grounds and facilities, with knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general trade maintenance.

They should also have an understanding of machinery/equipment operation relating to building maintenance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing or replacing locks, windows, light bulbs, and patching holes;
  • Conduct regular maintenance on equipment and machinery;
  • Estimate costs for repairs and document work undertaken;
  • Handle, store, and distribute goods/materials;
  • Move equipment/furniture as required;
  • Upkeep school grounds by mowing, pruning, weeding, planting, and disposing of litter;
  • Assist with school improvements by participating in fencing, paving, gardening projects;
  • Complete daily maintenance reports;
  • Train new employees in maintenance duties;
  • Operate school vehicles as required.
