Maintenance Officer/Gardener

The Role involves undertaking various maintenance and gardening duties for a residential aged care environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing tasks in a timely and professional manner, ensuring the grounds of the facility are presented optimally at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repair work as directed;
- Undertake gardening duties to maintain the facilities' appearance;
- Assist with the development of gardens and outdoor spaces;
- Participate in WH&S programs to ensure regulatory requirements and risk management processes are implemented;
To be successful in this role, applicants should possess:
- Good communication skills (oral and written);
- Basic computer skills including Word processing and spreadsheet preparation;
- Demonstrated understanding of the Aged Care or Health Industry;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively;
Applicants with qualifications and/or experience in relevant Trade and garden maintenance will be highly regarded. Additional preferred qualifications include Working at heights, Test and Tag Licence, and Chemical Users Certificate.
