Pharmacy Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Pharmacist to take on the role of Pharmacy Manager at our busy dispensary located in a vibrant shopping complex. As a Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for the successful performance, profitability, and continued growth of the pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • High Volume Dispensing: Oversee a busy pharmacy with a high volume of scripts per day, ensuring efficient and accurate dispensing practices.
  • Customer Focus: Ensure exceptional customer service is a priority for all team members, providing a positive experience for patients and customers.
  • Team Management: Lead a core team of 22 permanent staff, including Pharmacists, Dispensary Technicians, and pharmacy assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth running of the business.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Develop, coach, and mentor the team to achieve excellence in their roles, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Detail-Oriented Dispensing: Maintain high levels of attention to detail in the dispensary, ensuring accuracy and quality in all dispensing practices.
  • Multi-Skilling and Delegation: Ensure the smooth running of the business by multi-skilling and delegating tasks effectively, promoting a flexible and adaptable team.
  • Health Advice: Share advice and information with the team and customers to ensure the best healthcare is always front of mind, promoting a culture of health and wellness.
Requirements:
  • Registered AHPRA Pharmacist: Authorised to work in Australia, with a strong understanding of pharmacy regulations and practices.
  • Experience in Managing a High-Volume Dispensary: Handling 300+ scripts per day, with a proven track record of efficient and accurate dispensing practices.
  • Strong Professional Patient Counselling Skills: Providing expert advice and guidance to patients and customers, promoting a culture of health and wellness.
  • Passion for Networking and Community Involvement: Building strong relationships with the local community, promoting the pharmacy as a hub for health and wellness.
  • Driven by a Commitment to Excellent Customer Service: Providing a positive experience for patients and customers, ensuring exceptional customer service is a priority.
  • Experience in Vaccination Services: Providing expert advice and guidance on vaccination services, promoting a culture of health and wellness.
