Senior Operations Manager
Job DescriptionThe key responsibilities of this position are to lead and manage staff, physical and financial resources of the team in accordance with departmental procedures and strategic objectives.
The manager will allocate, prioritize, and perform work tasks in accordance with departmental procedures and statutory, financial and administrative delegations.
They will provide leadership and management in a style that is consistent with the Framework for Practice in the delivery of high-quality child protection services.
Additionally, they will develop and implement high-quality placement options, in consultation with departmental staff and key stakeholders, to meet the placement needs of children in out-of-home care.
The manager will foster a culture of appreciative inquiry and philosophy of frontline service delivery that is congruent with the values of the Framework for Practice and focuses on outcomes for children and families that meet their needs for safety, belonging and wellbeing.

OthersThe manager will be required to participate in local area forums with government and non-government stakeholders, promoting a positive and accountable public image and the development of collaborative partnerships to support quality service delivery outcomes.
They will also be responsible for providing proactive high-level support, advice, and information to regional management in relation to child protection service outcomes, development of service delivery and improvement strategies, staff training and support strategies and performance agreements.
Regular engagement with the local community to request feedback about the service delivery the community receives and is part of delivering, congruent with the principles of the practice framework.
