As an Amenity Enforcement Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and amenity of our community through education, enforcement, and promoting responsible pet ownership.
Key Responsibilities- Enforce relevant laws and regulations related to animal management, ensuring compliance with our organization's policies and procedures.
- Issue infringement notices and maintain accurate records in accordance with our policies and procedures.
- Conduct daily patrols of designated areas, including parks and other public spaces, to monitor and address any issues related to animal management.
- Investigate complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that our community is well-served and that our organization's values are upheld.
- Provide education and advice to the public on animal management, using a range of communication methods, including face-to-face, phone, and written correspondence.
- Maintain accurate records of all activities, including investigations, enforcement actions, and customer service interactions.
- Prepare reports on enforcement actions and provide evidence in court as required.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Certificate 4 in Government (Statutory Compliance) or equivalent, together with relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to comprehend and interpret laws and regulations, and to make informed decisions.
