Job Description
As a Specialist Anaesthesiologist, you will be responsible for participating actively in the effective function of the department, co-operating with other members in the provision of patient care, and providing clinical expertise and excellent service in anaesthesia and perioperative medicine. This will include:
- Providing supervision to junior medical and other relevant staff within the Unit/Department
- Supporting Latrobe Regional Health's (LRH) quality, monitoring and improvement initiatives
- SUPPORTING LRH teaching, research and clinical governance programs
- SUPPORTING the strategic priorities and values & beliefs of LRH
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Fellowship of the Australian & New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (or eligible for fellowship via the recognition of equivalent training pathway)
- Legally qualified medical practitioners, registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) without conditions, undertakings, or reprimands that could impact on their clinical practice
- Meets LRH requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in anaesthesia
- Experience in teaching and research
- Experience in Obstetric anaesthesia, paediatric anaesthesia, and trauma
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
