Family Violence Support Specialist

About the Role
As a Case Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality support to adult and child victim-survivors of family violence.
This includes maintaining accurate client records, coordinating referrals, managing correspondence, and assisting with data and reporting.
You will streamline administrative processes, help build a comprehensive picture of client circumstances, and enable Case Managers to focus on direct client support.
The position requires strong organisational and administrative skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Desirable Skills and Experience
- Foundational understanding of risk assessment in the context of family violence
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to actively develop skills in crisis intervention and casework with adults, young people, and children from diverse backgrounds who have experienced family violence
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Requirements
- Certificate or diploma qualification in social work, community services, community development or a related field
- Current Working with Children's Check and National Police Check
Working Conditions
The position is full-time, fixed-term and located in Geelong. The roster includes sleepovers, weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.
