Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Finance Leader to drive the strategic direction of our funding and investment activities, ensuring sustainable and cost-effective outcomes for Western Australia.

As a central financial services provider, we partner with government entities to achieve sound financial outcomes and offer a comprehensive range of corporate finance, debt, and investment products and advisory services.

The Opportunity

This is a senior leadership role that requires strategic oversight and management of our funding and investing activities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing funding and liquidity management plans to ensure ongoing access to financial markets;
  • Managing balance sheet (ALM) risk management plans responsive to market conditions, client requirements, and the broader risk environment;
  • Tailoring investment strategies for each investment portfolio under management;
  • Collaborating across the organisation to develop and implement investor relations engagement strategies and the sustainability program;
  • Overseeing foreign exchange management activities for us and our clients;
  • Providing strategic advice and recommendations to our Executive on borrowing, investment, hedging strategies, and client lending products and services;
  • Identifying new sources of borrowing to meet projected requirements;
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of domestic and international liability management trends;
  • Contributing to the development of future corporate strategic directions through influence and facilitation.

  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across teams and managing competing priorities;
