About Tasmania Tin Operations

Renison Mine is located on Tasmania's beautiful West Coast between the towns of Zeehan and Rosebery.

The mine is currently experiencing an exciting phase of development, characterised by a robust "Life of Mine Plan" and ongoing capital reinvestment.

This strategic approach enhances health, safety, environmental sustainability, and operational efficiency.

The mission is to be a sustainable, efficient, capable, disciplined, and respected tin producer, striving for operational excellence and optimization.

A Fixed Plant Fitter with current mining experience is needed to join our team.

This role supports daily maintenance requirements of surface and underground mining operations.

Unsupervised maintenance, installation, fault finding, and repairs are required on both surface and underground plant and equipment.

This position offers a 7 days on, 7 days off day shift roster. Night shifts may occasionally be required to cover staff absenteeism.

Key responsibilities:

  • Good knowledge and experience with underground equipment including crusher and conveyor systems
  • Good knowledge and experience with a wide range of pumping systems
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills enabling response to and resolution of breakdown issues in an effective and efficient manner
  • Attention to detail and quality of workmanship
  • Focussed commitment to safe work practices in compliance with site policy and procedures
  • Reliable and cohesive team player willing to follow direction and work proactively with other teams

A Certificate III in engineering Mechanical Trade (Fitter) qualification is required. Experience in heavy industry, fixed plant maintenance preferably within a mining environment is preferred.
