About the Role

The Child and Parenting Support Facilitator will be part of a team providing support to families with children 0-18 years old.

The role focuses on facilitating evidence-based parenting education groups and planning supported playgroups within targeted community areas.

  • Facilitate evidence-based parenting education groups for families with children aged 0-12, and may support those with children up to 18.
  • Develop and deliver supported playgroups in designated community areas.
Main Responsibilities
  • Built strong relationships with families based on trust, professionalism and empathy.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external services.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents and carers using excellent communication skills.
  • Prioritize confidentiality and maintain accurate records.
  • Liaise with government and non-government service providers for effective collaboration and family support.
Essential Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Children's Services or Community Services.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with children and their parents.
  • Proven ability to lead evidence-based groups for children such as Drumbeat or Seasons for Growth.
  • Familiarity with NSW child protection framework.
