About the Job

This is an integral position within our organization's housing services team. Staff at Housing Service Centres provide crucial support and guidance to Queenslanders in housing need.

The role involves delivering frontline services through a network of centres across the state, connecting customers with tailored information, options, and services addressing their specific needs.

A key aspect of this position is developing plans that address whole-of-life wellbeing and improve living situations for individuals and families. This requires working closely with customers to understand their requirements and providing solutions to achieve safe, secure, and sustainable housing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing tenancy arrangements, allocations, and vacancies while ensuring departmental compliance and liaising with the community and other housing providers.
  • Conducting home visits to properties, investigating and resolving tenancy disputes and complaints, and managing property maintenance and inspections.
  • Monitoring and managing outstanding arrears, rent assessments, pay deductions, and refunds, as well as actioning sundry debts and collections as required.
  • Maintaining accurate customer and property records using Microsoft products and other IT systems, with a high level of accuracy and work output.
  • Supporting a workplace safety culture by applying and promoting Workplace Health and Safety policies and practices in daily operations.
