About This Role

We are seeking a dedicated Counselling Practitioner to join our team, supporting individuals in making safe, respectful, and healthy life choices through inclusive, evidence-based counselling services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver trauma-informed, client-centred counselling and brief intervention services to clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Facilitate therapeutic and psycho-educational groups promoting positive change and growth.
  • Manage intake and assessment processes to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Maintain high standards of record keeping, data collection, and reporting to inform service improvement.
  • Contribute to continuous planning, evaluation, and quality improvement activities ensuring the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders to provide holistic care and support.
  • Participate in supervision, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance practice and expertise.

Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social or Behavioural Sciences is essential.
  • Eligibility for professional membership with APS, AASW, or similar is also required.
  • A current Driver's Licence and Working with Children Check (Blue Card) are necessary for this role.
  • Australian Work Rights and Federal Police Check (or ability to obtain) are also required.
