We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Practitioner to deliver high-quality support to individuals, couples, children, and families across our community for a 12-month contract.About the RoleIn this varied and rewarding position, you will provide professional counselling and support services to individuals, couples, children, and families facing complex challenges such as domestic and family violence, separation, trauma, or parenting difficulties.Key responsibilities:Deliver trauma-informed, client-centred counselling and brief intervention servicesFacilitate therapeutic and psycho-educational groupsManage intake and assessment processesMaintain high standards of record keeping, data collection, and reportingContribute to continuous improvement, planning, and evaluation activitiesWork collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure holistic careParticipate in supervision, training, and professional development opportunitiesAbout you:Experience in contemporary counselling techniques (e.g., solution-focused, trauma-informed, family systems)Strong understanding of Domestic & Family Violence, Child Protection, and Family LawExcellent communication, interpersonal, and report writing skillsAbility to work independently and within a multidisciplinary teamDemonstrated computer literacy and proficiency with data and case management systemsEssential requirements:Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social or Behavioural SciencesEligibility for professional membership with APS, AASW or similarCurrent Driver's LicenceWorking with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to obtainAustralian Work Rights and Federal Police Check (or ability to obtain)Apply now and help shape a workplace where people truly matter.Centacare is committed to diversity and inclusion and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
