
Human Rights and Guardianship Service Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Guardianship and Human Rights Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine contribution by delivering effective and efficient guardianship and human rights services to the community of Victoria.
The successful applicant will be required to work onsite in Melbourne CBD. You will have the opportunity to work with Heads of Human Rights and Guardianship Lists, other members, and Registry staff to establish and oversee active case management of proceedings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical and procedural guidance to tribunal users to ensure compliance with case timelines and information requirements
- Preparing detailed case briefings for Members that condense the issues under consideration and facilitate improved hearing readiness processes
- Building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Using expert technical knowledge to lead complex issue resolution and query handling
You will be able to demonstrate your experience and understanding with guardianship and human rights law, including resolving complex issues through consultation and negotiation, providing exceptional communication to explain complex concepts and issues to a non-expert audience, working collaboratively with peers, managers, and stakeholders, considering approaches and making decisions for team objectives, and engaging in high-level analytical thinking and problem-solving.
