About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance on a wide range of equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Identify and address potential safety hazards, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, utilizing your technical expertise to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with senior colleagues to implement continuous improvement initiatives, driving efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide exceptional support to internal customers, ensuring high levels of equipment availability and reliability.
Requirements
  • Formal trade qualifications in Electrotechnology or Engineering/Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Turner) with current electrical trade license.
  • Proven experience in planned preventative maintenance systems and fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawings and experience with conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety standards and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with computer maintenance systems (CMMS) and sortation machines.
  • Background in an industrial environment and experience with maintaining/configuring bar code scanners and print and apply machines.
