Community Engagement Specialist

Job Summary:

The Community Engagement Specialist will be responsible for engaging with local communities, creating informative materials and acting as a point of contact for the public.

  • Develop and disseminate targeted communications to keep the community informed about local infrastructure projects.
  • Engage with property owners, community members, and stakeholders through various channels, including meetings, phone calls, face-to-face interactions, and written correspondence.
  • Provide clear and supportive responses to questions about infrastructure projects.
  • Manage customer complaints and enquiries in our online portal, ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Handle inquiries with empathy, patience, and professionalism.
  • Provide administrative support to the team, maintaining project momentum.
  • Contribute content and participate in events as required.

Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, with confidence in interacting with diverse groups.
  • A calm and empathetic approach when handling complaints or concerns.
  • Creative flair for designing engaging flyers and information materials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
