About this role

This is an exciting opportunity to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander high school students on their journey to higher education.

As a Future Student Program Coordinator, you will have the chance to develop and deliver programs that engage students, schools, and communities in raising aspirations, strengthening access to university, and providing a culturally empowering transition into higher education.

  • You will lead engagement activities, both on-campus and through outreach, to support student success.
  • Collaborate with teams at the Woolyungah Indigenous Centre to shape communication strategies, build relationships, run events, and create content promoting student engagement.
  • Mentor a team of Student Ambassadors, overseeing their recruitment, training, and coordination for successful program delivery throughout the year.
Key responsibilities
  • Develop and evaluate programs engaging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, schools, and communities.
  • Lead engagement activities on-campus and through outreach.
  • Support student success and university access.
  • Collaborate with teams at the Woolyungah Indigenous Centre.
  • Mentor Student Ambassadors.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience; strong organisational and digital skills.
  • Strong cultural knowledge and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Experience in educational outreach and a demonstrated commitment to equity and community-led change.
Additional information

This position requires a valid Australian Driver Licence and clearance checks prior to commencement.
