Our organization seeks a skilled Community Engagement Officer to play a pivotal role in promoting mental health awareness and fostering strong community partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategies to enhance understanding of services offered at our center.
- Cultivate relationships with local communities through coordinated awareness activities and collaborative partnerships.
- Represent the organization at public forums and events, building bridges with diverse groups.
Requirements:
- A degree in a relevant field or extensive experience in community development, health promotion, and social sciences.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including public speaking abilities tailored to various audiences.
- An empathetic understanding of the needs of consumers with mental health concerns and/or substance use issues.
- Familiarity with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD), and LGBTQI groups.
