About The Service
Community Mental Health Clinicians provide recovery-focused clinical services including assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison and review as part of a multidisciplinary team for people referred to the service with mental illness, distress and/or risk issues. You'll be part of a compassionate team committed to promoting recovery and resilience.
What You'll Be Doing
Provide recovery-focused clinical services including assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison and review for individuals with mental illness, distress and/or risk issues, as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Perform assessments and provide evidence-based mental health interventions
- Coordinate care across services and liaise with consumers, families and carers
- Contribute to treatment planning and recovery-focused care
- Engage with the local community to support mental health recovery where people live, work, and thrive
- Tertiary qualifications and current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist; or tertiary qualifications for Social Worker, Counsellor or Welfare Officer with eligibility for membership of the relevant professional association
- Experience in contemporary clinical mental health practice, including assessments and evidence-based interventions
- Understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act (2007) and principles of mental health rehabilitation and recovery
- Strong communication skills to engage with consumers, families and carers and high computer literacy
- Current unrestricted driver's licence and ability to travel as required; willingness to drive long distances
