As a Rehabilitation Consultant with Acumen Health, you will play a critical role in supporting workers with injuries across various schemes. This includes clients under WorkCover, Department of Veterans Affairs, Motor Vehicle Accident Schemes, and Comcare portfolios. You will work with a diverse range of industries, such as transport, agriculture, government, construction, hospitality, retail, manufacturing, and professional services.

In this role, you will utilize your clinical reasoning skills to support people who have sustained physical and/or psychological injuries or illnesses, returning to and recovering at work.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments, including Workplace Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments, Functional Capacity Evaluations, Activities of Daily Living Assessments, and Vocational Assessments
  • Participating in medical case conferences
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, including injured workers, insurers, employers, and medical and allied health professionals
  • Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return-to-work outcomes and develop evidence-based recovery and return-to-work plans
  • Case management and report writing

Requirements

  • Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC/RCAA, or AASW)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, or Osteopathy
  • Strong clinical reasoning and ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams
  • Passion for helping people recover
