Construction Academic Position

A leading provider of training is seeking a dedicated and passionate Construction Academic to join their Bachelor of Construction and Project Management Program.

This role involves developing, improving and delivering the course content for both our Bachelor of Construction and Project Management programs.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for mentoring and guiding students throughout their education journey in construction and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging teaching to course students
  • Coordinate and lead other staff as required, ensuring effective collaboration through teaching and learning meetings.
  • Assess student learning outcomes through formative and summative assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, report to relevant parties and identify students at risk of failing, offering guidance and support.
  • Participate in professional development, enhance your teaching practices and stay up-to-date on best practice.
  • Report incidents of breaches in the student Code of Conduct or any health and safety concerns.

About You:

  • Post-Graduate qualification in Construction Project Management or equivalent
  • Ability to report student conduct breaches and health and safety incidents
  • Strong administrative skills and ability to adhere to directions

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Completed or in-progress PhD in Construction Project Management or equivalent
  • Tertiary teaching experience with a proven track record
  • Ability to innovate teaching methods and use technology for student engagement.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with experience teaching diverse student populations.
