The successful applicant will have a strong background in programming and development, with a focus on creating a culturally rich environment that includes the use of Aboriginal languages, games, activities, and songs.

The Program Leader will be responsible for delivering quality early childhood education, health, and development programs to children using the Abecedarian Approach Australia (3a) within a culturally secure framework.

The Centre has a strong focus on cultural safety and working within a bi-cultural model, ensuring the delivery of supportive and culturally appropriate primary healthcare to Aboriginal families.

The successful applicant will be well-presented, communicate effectively at all levels, and have a strong commitment to professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement culturally rich programs for children using Aboriginal languages and the Abecedarian Approach Australia (3a)
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure the delivery of quality early childhood education, health, and development programs
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff to ensure a culturally secure environment
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with Aboriginal families to ensure regular family engagement, increased enrolments, and increased children's participation and attendance
