Childcare Centre Director

The Child Care Manager provides leadership to the Ampe Kenhe Apmere Congress Child Care Centre and its extended programs. The position ensures high-quality education and care programs are delivered for children and families engaged in the service.
The Child Care Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the centre, providing early childhood knowledge, expertise, and support to management, staff, and families in accordance with the National Quality Framework, National Education and Care Regulations, and the National Law.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of high-quality education and care programs for children and families.
- Provide expertise and support to management, staff, and families in early childhood education and care.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with Aboriginal families to ensure regular family engagement, increased enrolments, and increased children's participation and attendance.
Congress has expanded to become the largest Aboriginal community-controlled health organisation in the Northern Territory and is one of the most experienced Aboriginal primary health care services in the country.
Congress provides a comprehensive, holistic, and culturally appropriate primary health care service to Aboriginal people living in and nearby Alice Springs, including five remote communities.
Congress is a strong political advocate of closing the gap on Aboriginal health disadvantage and is a national leader in improving health outcomes for all Aboriginal people.
