Job Overview

  • Provide leadership and support to staff and residents
  • Advocate for residents and resolve difficult or sensitive issues
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for marginalized populations
  • Ensure incidents are handled in a supportive manner and de-escalate appropriately
  • Take appropriate actions and debrief with the team and residents as needed

  • Assist with resident support plan development and delivery of services
  • Perform wellness checks
  • Assist residents with activities such as room cleans and laundry
  • Maintain an active file for each assigned resident
Organizational Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to provide authentic and engaging leadership and support for the team and residents.

  • Delegate and oversee daily tasks
  • Report maintenance needs and requests in a timely manner
  • Assist with statistical information collection for reporting requirements
Essential Skills:

  • Knowledge of current social issues related to homelessness, mental illness, and addiction
  • Training in non-violent crisis intervention techniques and harm reduction approach
  • Ability to work independently and show initiative and creativity
