Job Summary

This is a full-time position that requires the ability to plan and implement daily activities, coordinate tasks, and maintain safe working conditions. If you have experience in similar roles and possess management skills, this would be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute daily production activities for apples, pears, and plums.
  • Coordinate the activities of workers involved in land preparation, planting, harvesting, and other agricultural tasks.
  • Develop and implement new systems to increase production quality and maintain safe working conditions.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan daily work activities and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Assist in ground preparation, cultivation, fertilization, nursery growing, and planting trees.
  • Prune trees to promote healthy growth and productivity.
  • Harvest fruits according to size and ripeness.
  • Maintain trellis structures and irrigation systems.
  • Spray chemicals on crops to control diseases and pests.
  • Maintain machinery and equipment used in agricultural tasks.
  • Operate tractors and farm machinery safely.
  • Keep accurate records of chemical and fertilizer usage, plant maintenance, and training.
  • Possess current Chemical Users Certificate and car license.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Agriculture or at least 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compensation and Benefits:

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $80,000 - $90,000 per year, plus superannuation benefits. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
