**Sporting Clubs Officer**

**Salary**:$88,648.56 per annum

This role is best suited to an experienced applicant with a flair for working closely with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, and making a difference. You will be highly organised, able to communicate at a high level both in written and verbal communications and work autonomously at times.

Coordination of internal funding program The Our Sporting Future Funding program will sit with your role and require attention to detail as well as confident and competent communication with external stakeholders to support and guide clubs, leagues and associations.

Reporting to the Team Leader Sports Development and Strategic Planning, the Sporting Clubs Officer is required to:

- Provide the central coordination point for the sports facility development functions of Council.
- Support the strategic planning functions of the Parks, Sport and Recreation Department.
- Support and coordinate where required, initiatives and projects that foster improved opportunities for sport and recreation within the municipality.
- Provide specialist information, advice and support to the local and regional sport and recreation sector, other Council departments and stakeholders as required.
- Effectively coordinate funding processes (internal and external) including improvements, policies, procedures, planning and delivery
- Establish and maintain strong sport and recreation networks To effectively and efficiently manage the human, physical and financial resources under the responsibility of this position.
