Join Our Team as an Underground Paste Crewman

As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation, operation, and maintenance of underground paste reticulation systems.

About the Role
  • Installation of underground paste reticulation, pipe supports, couplings, elbows etc. is a key responsibility in this role.
  • Underground dump valves/diverter valves, pressure sensors, and instrumentation must be installed and maintained.
  • Paste walls and bunds require construction and installation.
  • Close collaboration with surface plant and mining operation teams to ensure seamless coordination of works.
  • Support supervisors in planning and executing paste infrastructure projects efficiently and within scope.
  • Accurate recording and reporting of daily activities, paste line performance, and maintenance requirements are essential.
  • Maintaining strict adherence to safety standards, including hazard identification, risk management, and use of appropriate PPE, is paramount.
  • Collaboration with other crews (services, projects, and production) to coordinate paste installation around mining schedules.
What We're Looking For
  • A minimum of 12 months underground experience in paste and projects is required.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and underground plant relevant to paste reticulation is necessary.
  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic system faults is required.
  • A strong focus on safety and hazard awareness is crucial.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments and confined spaces is necessary.
  • Effective communication skills and a team-oriented approach are essential.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying tasks and schedules is required.
  • Must have IT & UG LV Tickets and a current Manual Drivers Licence.
  • Must pass a pre-employment medical to include drug and alcohol screening.
