Job Overview

As an Underground Paste Crewman, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation, operation, and maintenance of underground paste reticulation systems.

This is a key role within our organization, requiring individuals who can work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results.

  • Installation of underground paste reticulation, pipe supports, couplings, elbows etc.
  • Installation of UG dump valves/diverter valves, pressure sensors and instrumentation.
  • Construction of paste walls and bunds.
  • Co-ordinate works with surface plant and mining operation teams.

In addition to the technical skills required for this role, we are looking for individuals who possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 12 months underground experience essential within paste and projects.
  • Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and underground plant relevant to paste reticulation.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic system faults.
  • Strong focus on safety and hazard awareness.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and confined spaces.
  • Effective communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying tasks and schedules.
  • IT & UG LV Tickets.
  • Current Manual Drivers Licence.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening.
