Key Responsibilities- Lead nursing operations for Surgery and Anaesthetics, ensuring high-quality care and resource efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve operational and financial outcomes.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the service area and the broader facility's nursing and midwifery priorities.
- Model the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect, and Empowerment.
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Extensive recent management experience in leading staff and managing services in a relevant setting.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients, consumers, carers, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Proven experience in managing key priorities and delivering successful strategies relating to service outcomes, KPIs, and Westmead Hospital Nursing and Midwifery vision and goals.
- Demonstrated experience in the application of change management within a tertiary healthcare environment.
- Highly developed ability to think critically, set goals, formulate plans, and policies to achieve identified outcomes.
- Evidence of experience in financial management and the ability to support financial strategies of the facility relating to the service areas.
