The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our construction team in Brisbane. As a key member of our legal team, you will work closely with our experienced lawyers to provide expert advice on complex construction matters.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established national construction company that boasts an impressive client base, including federal government agencies and blue-chip companies. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of construction and related matters, including resolving disputes, advising on contracts, and drafting legal documents.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have a minimum of 6 years post-admission experience and be up to the Special Counsel level. You may have a mix of front-end or back-end construction experience, gained in a mid-tier or top-tier law firm, with a desire to focus on front-end matters. Relevant experience in major construction projects and exceptional attention to detail are essential.

You will have the confidence and ability to deal with both internal and external stakeholders, and be a strong team player. You may be looking to make your first move in-house, having gained solid experience as part of a premier construction team in private practice. Candidates with relevant in-house experience will also be highly desirable.
