About the Role

As a Team Member, you will be responsible for working alongside a team to maintain and enhance council-controlled cemeteries within Ipswich.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a keen eye for detail, and takes pride in their work.

  • Operate various mowing equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain and perform regular inspections on equipment
  • Ensure lawns and green spaces are maintained to a high standard
  • Complete service requests as required
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures

Key Responsibilities

  • Employ safe operational practices when operating mowing equipment
  • Conduct regular inspections on mowing equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Perform tasks that require physical labor in a variety of outdoor settings
  • Carry out routine maintenance duties as assigned by management
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in lawn maintenance, preferably in a cemetery setting
  • A valid manual driver's license
  • A white card
  • The ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team or individually
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Willingsness to work in a variety of weather conditions
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to a high standard
