Job Title:

Schools Grounds Officer

">Description:
  • ">
  • Maintain school ovals through mowing, watering and soil care to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.">
  • Perform general maintenance of grounds care equipment such as mowers, brush cutters and tractors, including arranging regular servicing.">
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements, including safe storage and handling of chemicals, fertilisers and fuel.">
  • Support duties like rubbish removal/disposal, setting up for school activities and moving resources, furniture and equipment.">
  • Attend to or arrange repairs and maintenance related to fences, paving, gates and irrigation.">
  • Perform some administrative duties, including receiving goods, daily banking, postage and maintaining an electronic jobs list.">
">Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • ">
  • Experience in operating machinery and tools effectively.">
  • Ability to work independently and be results-driven.">
  • Physical fitness to meet the demands of the job.">
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.">
  • Prior experience in schools is highly desirable but not essential.">
