About the Role

Microsoft is seeking a highly skilled Construction Contracts Manager to join our Global Supply Chain team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a program of build projects in Sydney, Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies to meet project objectives.
  • Participate in supplier assessment and prepare contract award proposals.
  • Execute procurement contracting strategies for large, complex data center construction projects.
  • Lead Change Order negotiations with input from key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and mitigate the impact of change orders to the project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 10+ Years Experience in Project Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, and/or Operations.
  • Proven experience in contract management, preferably in construction, real estate, or infrastructure projects.

Preferred Requirements

  • Hyperscale data center or large building construction experience in an owner or general contractor capacity.
  • Experience developing negotiating contract terms and conditions specifically for contracts related to services, construction, engineering, materials and equipment installation.
  • Strong understanding of contracting principles and legal terms and conditions.
