Job Title: Machine Operator - Minto Ice Cream Factory

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team at the Minto Ice Cream factory. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the safe operation of equipment, ensuring quality standards and efficiency in the production process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct cleaning and lubrication as required, possessing basic knowledge of mechanism, motion, and pneumatics.
  • Maintain machinery to prescribed standards and levels of cleanliness.
  • Carry out cleaning and inspection activities, recording any issues for the Technical Operator to resolve.
  • Understand the properties of materials being handled, performing correct adjustments and settings.
  • Proactively work with Professional Maintenance and Quality Control staff to achieve zero breakdowns and zero defects.
  • Carry out product and process changeovers/washouts to maintain quality standards while minimizing the impact on the production plan.
  • Ensure optimal usage of resources, minimizing waste during production.
  • Initiate improvement actions.
Working Conditions:

You will be working on rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 weeks pattern, and 1 Saturday every 3 weeks for the Summer period (August - March) and every Saturday off during the Winter period (April - July).

You will be based at our Minto factory, involved in the processes of making our delicious ice-cream Streets brands such as Cornetto, Gaytime & Magnum.

Requirements:
  • Individuals with the right attitude, responsible, supportive, and able to communicate well.
  • Willingness to work in a rotating roster, and be a team player.
  • Relevant experience in basic machine operations, forklift, warehouse, and inventory operation is preferred, however not essential.
