We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team at the Minto Ice Cream factory. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the safe operation of equipment, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring efficient production processes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct cleaning and lubrication as required, with a basic knowledge of mechanism, motion, and pneumatics.
- Maintain machinery to prescribed standards and levels of cleanliness.
- Carry out cleaning and inspection activities, recording any issues for the Technical Operator to resolve.
- Understand the properties of materials being handled, perform correct adjustments and settings.
- Proactively work with Professional Maintenance and Quality Control staff to achieve zero breakdowns and zero defects.
- Carry out product and process changeovers/washouts to maintain quality standards while minimizing production plan impact.
- Ensure optimal resource usage, minimizing waste during production.
- Initiate improvement actions.
You will work on rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 weeks pattern, and 1 Saturday every 3 weeks for the Summer period (August - March) and every Saturday off during the Winter period (April - July).
