Job Overview

Our Support Worker role involves maintaining high standards of catering and presentation while handling, preparing, and storing food. This includes associated cleaning tasks and ensuring residents' dietary requirements are met.

  • Assist with the catering service to meet residents' food needs, including food preparation, storage, hygiene, distribution, and serving meals.
  • Follow written protocols for special dietary requests.
  • Prepare dining rooms and work with the food safety plan and legislative guidelines.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleaning in residents' rooms and general areas.
  • Adhere to infection control, manual handling, and WHS procedures.
  • Ensure efficient and open communication.
About You
  • A Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability, or Individual Support is desirable.
  • Hold a current driver's license, insured vehicle, and smart mobile phone.
  • Have a capacity to embrace a meaningful community role and yourself.
  • Require effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer service orientation.
  • Be able to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Have proficiency in technology use such as smartphones, email, and internet.
