Pharmacy Technician Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated pharmacy technician to join our team in the oncology pharmacy department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a real difference in the lives of cancer patients.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position responsible for assisting with the preparation and dispensing of medications, maintaining accurate records, and performing various administrative tasks.

  • Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently
  • Assist with preparing treatment lists and charts
  • Perform end-of-day procedures for closing outpatient point-of-sale
  • Filing and organizing paperwork
  • Troubleshoot issues surrounding prescriptions and medication management
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III in Hospital Health Services & Pharmacy Support or willingness to complete within an agreed time frame
  • Hospital or community pharmacy dispensary experience
  • Strong PBS knowledge and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
