We are currently seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our Finance team.

The Position

This full-time role is based at our head office and is an integral part of our Finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management reports for inclusion in the Board pack and provide recommended action for exceptions for review by the Corporate Accountant.
  • Account Reconciliation: Ensure the integrity of the trial balance by completing monthly G/L reconciliations for review by the Corporate Accountant.
  • Statutory Audit: Assist in the statutory audit as requested by the Corporate Accountant.
  • Chart of Accounts: Maintain chart of accounts additions/deletions.
  • BAS Preparation: Prepare BAS for lodgement by the Corporate Accountant.
  • Customer and Supplier Reconciliation: Review all customer and supplier reconciliations prepared by the Accounts Officer.
  • Journal Posting: Post all recurring and standing monthly journals.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Prepare bank reconciliations weekly.
  • Variance Analysis: Prepare monthly variance analysis for parent entity NEP Group and department P&L and provide commentary for review by the Finance Manager.
Required Skills and Attributes:
  • Professional Qualifications: Completed CPA or CA.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel.
  • Teamwork and Initiative: Excellent team player and able to take initiative within job responsibilities.
  • Time Management: Able to deliver on tight deadlines and multitask.
  • Business Acumen: Sound and informed business judgement in all dealings with staff and external parties.
