Senior Family Work Clinician

Overview

The Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service delivers dedicated care to young people aged 12-25 and their families.

It combines research, clinical excellence and governance to provide seamless, person-centred care, reimagining how mental health care is experienced, accessed and delivered.

The Opportunity

We seek an experienced Senior Family Clinician to deliver high-quality family interventions, provide clinical leadership and strengthen staff and family capacity for recovery.

You will work alongside visionary leaders in a values-led organisation shaping holistic, recovery-oriented care and strengthening family engagement in a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership, support and supervision regarding family-inclusive practice principles
  • Develop and support a framework for family engagement in the Orygen Recovery Program
  • Provide family-focused interventions, including single session family consultations
  • Work from an inclusive and sensitive practice with young people and their families/carers from diverse backgrounds
About You
  • A Mental Health Clinician experienced in developing group programs for families/carers
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to determine and plan for a young person's recovery using shared decision-making
  • Eligible disciplines: RPN Grade 4 / Occupational Therapist, Social Worker and Psychologist Grade 3, with postgraduate qualification in Family/Systems Therapy
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in tertiary and/or youth mental health and a demonstrated ability to lead a clinical team, supervise mental health clinicians and function autonomously
