We are seeking a skilled Senior Instrumentation and Control Expert to join our team in providing engineering support for project development.

The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a strong background in instrumentation and control engineering. They will be responsible for ensuring fit-for-purpose designs that balance risk and reward to improve project NPV, while maintaining compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

The key accountabilities of this role include:

  • Delivering Front End Engineering Design (FEED) for projects to enhance value and access a larger reserve base.
  • Ensuring project scope aligns with our operating philosophy.
  • Providing Owners Engineering input to prevent scope drift and ensure compliance with industry, company, and international standards.
  • Identifying opportunities for cost reduction and resource recovery.
  • Balancing risk and reward for safe, operable facilities with low lifecycle costs.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in relevant Australian and industry standards, hold Chartered Engineer and RPEQ certification, and preferably be a Certified Functional Safety Engineer. A bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Control Systems Engineering is essential, with a postgraduate qualification in Project Management and familiarity with project management processes being desirable.
